I spent years of my life literally bending over ba

I spent years of my life literally bending over backwards trying to keep everyone else happy. I gave and I gave and I gave... and at the end of the day, it didn’t make anyone love me.

I didn’t see my own worth and as a result, neither did anyone else. I thought if I did everything right, if I kept everyone else happy, then they would love me.

You can’t buy love or loyalty and you certainly can’t make anyone care about you who simply just doesn’t. Love doesn’t work that way.

After several years of digging into what made me feel less-than and what damaged my self-worth so dramatically, I was able to discover my true self. Throughout that journey I also realized that I have always been enough.

I made so many mistakes along the way, but I know today that I am more than those mistakes. Those errors were things I did, not who I am.

For the first time in my life I know that I’m okay. My super power is that I am me. I’m an original. There is no one else on the planet just like me.

I’m thankful for the light and the happiness that God has brought into my world and I’m intent on sharing it with everyone I encounter.

Bottom line: Just be you.
You’re perfect that way.

Life is like an emotional amusement park—full of thrills and scares, disappointments and laughs. Be careful not to get stuck in the haunted house too long. We are not meant to exist in a constant state of fear and pain— never exiting to the peace and joy that exist outside of that space.

I failed many, MANY times until the time I didn’t and I finally succeeded! There is a way for each one of us and there are infinite ways to find your own way.

Keep getting up each day and starting again. Keep walking toward the life that you desire. You will lose some people and things along the way and what you will discover is that they were never a part of your future anyway.

People will always have an opinion. It doesn’t matter what you’re doing, someone will have something to say about it.

Learning to be comfortable and happy in spite of others negativity, is incredibly powerful and life-changing. Some will be intimidated by the fact you’re making changes for the better.

This was always hard for me to grasp and comprehend. At the end of the day, though, those very same people were more aware of my potential than I was and it terrified them. The negativity that they were casting my way, had absolutely nothing to do with me and everything to do with them.

Don’t let the haters stop you from becoming everything you are meant to be. Keep making your changes and keep working hard. Your future is powerfully beautiful—take another step today toward becoming the person you were born to be.

How did I make the difficult decision to have weight loss surgery?

How did I lose 243 pounds in 14 months?

How have I maintained that loss for 18 years now?

Did I lose friends along the way? YES...A lot of them. Why?

What plastic surgery did I have following that massive weight loss?
